Some see design and code as separate worlds; I love living in both! I'm a UI/UX Designer with a knack for building.
I design for the person stuck in a tool eight hours a day. Most of my work lives in unglamorous territory — banking back-offices, clinical dashboards, warehouse terminals — where a good interface is the difference between flow and friction.
My process is unprecious by design: interviews on day one, a clickable prototype by week two, decisions argued with evidence rather than taste. I write my own specs and consider an engineer’s frown the most useful feedback in the room.
Listen before sketching. Understand the business, the user’s day, and where it hurts.
Compress findings into a point of view the whole team can repeat back.
Prototype at the speed of the argument — fidelity matches the decision at stake.
Stay through the build. Spec, QA, and polish until it ships as intended.
